Dedication To Hard Work And A Drive For Success

Abbey has not only excelled in life from hard work and dedication, but has done so with honors everywhere she applied her talents and abilities. She was Salutatorian of her class at Clarke County High School and went on to become a Magna Cum Laude Graduate with a Bachelors in Accounting from Jacksonville State University. In order to create progress and development, one must understand the numbers to sufficiently manage budgets and allocate funds. Abbey is one of those rare, enthusiastic and highly qualified individuals needed to serve as commissioner in District 1! She is currently employed with Westervelt Lumber and a member of the conservative Republican Party.

Character And Personality

Abbey is a native of Clarke County, and she understands the needs and necessities our communities depend upon which are governed by our elected officials. Her commitment to faith, family, community and public service has always been deeply rooted, and coupled with her qualifications, hard work ethics, energetic and yet humble personality, makes Abbey an ideal Commissioner for District 1. Her ethics and moral compass, found in most successful leaders, will always be part of her foundation in decision making responsibilities whether as an elected official or just a friend and neighbor.

Outside The Office

Enjoys the great outdoors in Clarke County riding everything from dirt bikes to golf carts!
Well equipped, she enjoys target practicing in the shooting range, hunting, and as a true Republican, supporting her 2nd Admendment.
She and her husband Larry, who is employed with Alfa Insurance, are completing their first home on a beautiful 20 acres which accommodates their outdoor enjoyments from playing corn hole to badminton tournaments for family and friends.
She enjoys volunteering and working with the youth at her local church.

Abbey values and shares in the growing needs of our district, and she is one who understands that by communicating and working together, we can accomplish real progress and development.
